Layout Contest

As we celebrate Jeanette’s 35 year anniversary, we are reminiscing about so many of her achievements and contributions over the years that have been documented by her memory keeping. This is a perfect time for you to document one of YOUR personal achievements of which you are most proud. What is something you’ve accomplished in your own life that you can document and share? Some ideas may be a wedding milestone, beating an illness, building your CTMH business, school or family goals, etc.

For the layout contest, create a layout that digs deep into the achievement you choose to document. Journaling is a huge part of this contest as we want to see your story details. All layouts must include a title, journaling and a photo.

Use Close To My Heart product in creative ways. Judging will be focused on creativity through titling, journaling, photography, and unique product usage.

Rules

In order to be included in the contest, please submit your RSVP here no later than 11:59 pm (MDT) on Friday, May 31, 2019
Create one layout — can be a single 12″ × 12″ or a two-page spread.
Layout must be submitted in memory protectors. Please include your name and Consultant number on the back of both pages.
Products used must be Close To My Heart. No products from other scrapbooking, stamping, or craft companies will be permitted. Exceptions will include found objects (fabrics, zippers, office supplies, etc.) Please note that if it is something Close To My Heart carries, you will be required to use our product over others on the market.
Layouts can be submitted onsite and must be turned in at registration no later 9:00 am on Thursday, July 11, 2019.
Your actual layout must be submitted (no electronic submissions).
Layout patterns can be your own creation; however, it is not required. Any published pattern from Close To My Heart is also welcome.
In order to enter the contest, you must be registered for Convention 2019 and you must be present at the event to win.

Areas of Focus

Photography: quality photos (lighting, contrast, focus, etc.)
Journaling: all layouts must include some form of journaling
Creative Techniques: unique uses of Close To My Heart products
Color: unique color combinations and color coordination with photography

Prizes

All layouts will be on display to create an artistic timeline at Convention. For top five layouts, Close To My Heart will award a NEW product bundle valued at $100 USD in retail value.

Hotels

Close To My Heart has negotiated a spectacular nightly room rate at the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center and the Hyatt Place Provo, both located right across the street from the Convention Center. Reservations must be made prior to Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Transportation

Not renting a car? No problem! Take the FrontRunner commuter trains directly from the Salt Lake City airport to Provo! Express Shuttle, Uber and Lyft are also available in Utah.

For those Convention attendees who have flights departing on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from the Salt Lake City airport, Close To My Heart will provide bus transportation from the Utah Valley Convention Center to the airport that day, and we will have a few different times to choose from. Shuttle schedules and reservations for $10 USD will be available beginning at 9:00 am (MST) on March 1, 2019 in Online Office.
